IND vs NZ T20I Series 2026: The New Zealand cricket team has suffered a major setback ahead of the upcoming five-match T20I series against India (India tour of New Zealand 2026). Key all-rounder Rachin Ravindra has been ruled out of the series due to an injury. He sustained a shoulder injury during a promotional shoot last week. It will take him at least six weeks to fully recover from this injury. However, there is hope that he could return to the squad in time for the ODI series starting on November 4.

Expressing disappointment over Rachin Ravindra's injury, New Zealand head coach Rob Walter said, "We feel terrible for Rachin. He is set to play a crucial role for us this summer, so it is important that he doesn't rush his recovery. We hope he will return fully fit for the ODI series."
Bevon Jacobs Called Up to Replace Rachin Ravindra in NZ Squad

Bevon Jacobs has been added to the New Zealand squad to bolster the middle order in Rachin Ravindra's absence. Jacobs has played 11 T20I matches so far and appears to be in excellent form, having played a brilliant unbeaten innings of 62 runs in his last match against Bangladesh.
Additionally, New Zealand has included Adam Milne in their pace bowling group; he is in contention to play his first T20I match in over a year. Meanwhile, Ben Sears was not considered for this series as he is recovering from an ankle injury.
