Sunrisers Hyderabad went on a rampage against Mumbai Indians, posting a record-breaking 277/3, the highest-ever total in IPL history, in an astounding show of power-hitting. The unrelenting bombardment left bowlers from both teams dumbfounded. It was a power-hitting show.
Travis Head, the opening batsman for the SRH, set the tone for the innings by launching a scorching 62 runs off only 24 deliveries. Abhishek Sharma, the number three batsman, put on an incredible show that matched his blazing innings. He quickly overtook Head to set the franchise record for the quickest fifty runs, smashing 63 runs off just 23 balls.

Heinrich Klaasen continued to show off his brilliance, finishing undefeated with 80 runs off of 34 balls. The fireworks didn't stop there. In addition to leading SRH to an incredible total, his late assault destroyed an 11-year-old IPL record that Royal Challengers Bangalore had held—263/5 in 2013.
Even though SRH's unrelenting six-hitting rampage left Mumbai Indians stunned, their batsmen showed courage during the massive chase. Ishan Kishan (34 off 13 balls), Rohit Sharma (26 off 12 balls), and Naman Dhir (30 off 14 balls) all had explosive starts, and Tilak Varma (34 off 34 balls) also put on an outstanding display. At the innings break, what had seemed to be a one-sided match gradually turned into a competitive showdown.
But after Tilak was removed, the tide turned in favour of SRH; captain Hardik Pandya (24 off 20 balls) was caught off guard by some outstanding spells from Jaydev Unadkat, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Pat Cummins; Tim David, though, remained undefeated at 42 (off 22 deliveries), but MI lost by 31 runs.
By the end of the match, many records had been broken, making the match memorable in IPL history.
First and foremost, SRH shattered the Indian Premier League record for most runs scored in an inning by a team. Before then, Royal Challengers Bengaluru held the record against Pune Warriors India with 263/5.
