Sunrisers Hyderabad have suffered a setback in IPL 2023. The premier all-rounder has been ruled out of the tournament due to a hamstring injury. Sunrisers Hyderabad have to play their next match against Delhi Capitals on Saturday.
Ruled out of entire tournament due to hamstring injury, Sunrisers Hyderabad star all-rounder Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the remaining matches of IPL 2023 due to a hamstring strain. This is a big blow to this team which is yearning for victory this season. The Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise informed about Sundar's injury and his unavailability for the remaining matches of IPL 2023.
"Washington Sundar has been ruled out of IPL 2023 due to hamstring injury. We wish him a speedy recovery," tweeted the Hyderabad-based franchise.

Let us tell you that this is the third consecutive IPL season of Washington Sundar, which was affected by injury. Washington Sundar was ruled out of the UAE leg of IPL 2021 due to a finger injury. Sundar's luck was not good and he was ruled out of India's tour of South Africa in January 2022 as he turned out to be Kovid-19 positive. He was then ruled out of the T20 International series against the West Indies at home due to a hamstring injury.
In IPL 2022, Sunrisers Hyderabad signed Sundar. The off-spin all-rounder missed four matches due to bleeding between the fingers in his bowling hand. In August last year, Washington Sundar injured his left shoulder while fielding for Lancashire during a county match and was subsequently ruled out of the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe.
