Virat Kohli, who established his reign in all formats of cricket, played his last T20I match as captain against Namibia. Before the start of the T20I World Cup, Virat Kohli had announced that this would be his last tournament as a captain, but he would continue to play in this format as a player. The fans were expecting the title from Virat Kohli, who was denied the ICC trophy in all three formats, but due to a poor start in the tournament, winning the trophy under Kohlis leadership remained a dream. At the start of the tournament, arch-rivals Pakistan beat India by 10 wickets. After this New Zealand defeated Team India by 8 wickets. After these two crushing defeats, Team Indias road to winning the T20 World Cup became difficult. The last hope rested on Afghanistan, but on Sunday that hope was also shattered.
