Glenn Maxwell hit the second-longest six in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. He hit it against New Zealand in the game in Dharamsala, India. Maxwell hit two sixes in a row off Mitchell Santner in the 43rd over. The first six was so long that it went onto the roof of the stadium! It was 104 meters long. Maxwell scored 41 runs off 24 balls in his innings. Australia started the game well, but they couldn't keep up the momentum and were all out for 388 runs.
Shreyas Iyer has hit the longest six in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 so far. It was a 106-meter six that he hit against Sri Lanka in Mumbai. The ball went very far, over the long-off boundary. It was also Iyer's second six over 100 meters in the tournament.
