Telugu Titans will kick off the tournament on October 7 against Bengaluru Bulls at Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru. After a disappointing run in the previous two seasons, the franchise will be looking to turn things around.
Ankit Beniwal and Rajnish have been retained as raiders by the team. After being released earlier, Siddarth Desai was bought back by the side in an auction. The teams core members will be Parvesh Bhainswal, Vishal Bhardwaj, and Ravinder Pahal.
Last season, the Titans finished at the bottom of the points table with 27 points from 22 games. During the previous season of the PKL, they only won one game and lost 17 others. Their final four games all ended in draws.
Theyve had two forgettable seasons, finishing bottom of the table last season with just one win from 22 games, and 11th the season before that. However, if their auction strategy is any indication, theyll be looking to make amends in PKL 9.
Ankit Beniwal and Rajnish were retained as raiders, while Siddharth Desai, who was released for the auction, was bought back at his base price of Rs 20 lakhs. They added two more attackers, Abhishek Singh and Monu Goyat, to the lineup. Telugu Titans has also assembled a formidable defence, with Parvesh Bhainswal, Vishal Bhardwaj, and Ravinder Pahal serving as the teams core.
