Indian men's cricket teams will compete in several bilateral series at home and abroad across all three formats this year. However, ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will be the top priority. The Indian men's team last won the ICC Trophy in 2013 when the MS Dhoni-led side defeated England in the final to lift the ICC Champions Trophy.
January will be a particularly busy month as India's five-match Test series against England also begins on January 25.
Apart from international tours, Indian cricketers will compete in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. There are no international matches scheduled for India during the IPL 2024 window between March and May. After the IPL, the team will tour West Indies and USA for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 in June.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) announced that the Afghanistan men's cricket team will tour India for a three-match T20 series in January. This series will start from January 11 and continue till January 17. The Afghanistan Cricket Board has confirmed that the Afghanistan national cricket team will tour India for a three-match T20I series in early January 2024, an ACB statement said. The three T20I matches are scheduled for 11, 14 and 17 January.
