Sri Lanka has announced its 15-member squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 qualifiers. The team will travel to Zimbabwe. Sri Lanka Cricket has also decided to send consultant coach Mahela Jayawardene along with the team to Zimbabwe.
In addition, Sri Lanka Cricket has also confirmed that limited support staff will be sent to Zimbabwe for the qualifiers. If the team secures its place in the 2023 ODI World Cup, more members will be added.
The command of the team is in the hands of Dasun Shanaka. Apart from this, Kusal Mendis will be the vice-captain. Let us tell you that for the qualifiers, Sri Lanka has been placed in Group B along with Ireland, Oman, Scotland and UAE.
