Former Indian cricket team opener Shikhar Dhawan posted a video on Saturday and told that he is saying goodbye to cricket. He said that there are only memories behind him and a new world is ahead. But Dhawan confused the fans a bit here too. After watching his video, fans are worried about whether Dhawan will play IPL or has he retired from it too. Dhawan was captaining Punjab Kings till IPL-2024. Mega auction is to be held this season and the franchise is not allowed to retain more players. Dhawan's IPL career with Punjab was also not good. Neither could he do anything special as a captain nor could he show the flair of his bat.

Dhawan played his first Test against Australia in Mohali. He has participated in 34 Test matches since 2013. Dhawan last got a chance to play a Test match in 2018. He scored 2315 runs in the longest format of cricket at an average of 40.61. During this, he scored seven centuries and five half-centuries. Dhawan's highest score is 190 runs.

Shikhar played his first ODI for India in 2010 against Australia in Visakhapatnam. He has scored 6793 runs in 167 matches. Dhawan has scored runs at an average of 44.11 and a strike rate of 91.35. He has 17 centuries and 39 half-centuries to his name. Talking about T20 career, Dhawan has scored 1759 runs in 68 matches. He has scored 11 half-centuries.

Dhawan started his IPL career with Delhi Daredevils. Apart from this, he played for Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals. Till last year, he was in the Punjab Kings team. Dhawan has played a total of 222 matches in his IPL career. In his 17-year IPL career, he has scored 6769 runs at an average of 35.26 and a strike rate of 127.14. Dhawan has two IPL centuries and 51 half-centuries to his name.

Shikhar Dhawan Last international Matches

Dhawan played his last international match against Bangladesh on 10 December 2022. This ODI format match was played in Chittagong. Dhawan was able to score only three runs in this match. Similarly, Dhawan played his last T20 match against Sri Lanka in Colombo on 29 July 2021. He could not even open the account in this match. Dhawan played his last Test in September 2018 against England at the Oval. He scored three and one runs in both the innings of this match.
