In fact, Tamim Iqbal had relinquished the captaincy of the Bangladesh ODI team after recovering from a back injury due to his fitness. He is now also ruled out of the Asia Cup starting on August 30, though he is hopeful of being fit in time for the ODI series against New Zealand starting on September 21 and the ODI World Cup that follows.
