Australian opener Sam Konstas has reiterated his stance on the "shoulder barge" incident with Virat Kohli during the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2025. The 19-year-old, who impressed with his aggressive batting, maintains no regrets about the on-field altercation, labeling it a "special moment."
The shoulder barge and subsequent verbal spat between Konstas and Kohli during the fourth Test at the MCG became a major talking point of the series. The ICC fined Kohli 20% of his match fee for his role in the incident.
The animosity between the two players was evident throughout the series, with frequent verbal exchanges adding another layer of intensity to the already fiercely contested Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Konstas played an instrumental role in Australia's success during the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Australia ended up winning the five-match series 3-1 with a six-wicket win in the fifth and final Test in Sydney. This was for the first time in 10 years they lifted the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Konstas was rewarded for his exceptional batting show in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and was thus included in Australia's upcoming series against Sri Lanka which is set to start on January 29.
