Sai Kishore has taken at least four wickets in the last four innings, including 9 in the quarter-final against Saurashtra last week. Before Sai Kishore, the great S Venkataraghavan (58 in 1972-73) and Ashish Kapoor (50 in 1999-00) had achieved this feat.
Sai Kishore is now the third spinner from Tamil Nadu to record 50 wickets in a Ranji season. Sai Kishore achieved the feat of taking five wickets in first class for the 10th time in 39 matches. In the current Ranji season, he has also achieved the feat of taking four wickets 6 times and 5 wickets three times.
