Preparations for Indian Premier League 2024 have started. A mini-auction to be held in Dubai on Tuesday, December 19 will allow franchises to iron out the kinks and prepare themselves for a title challenge in the 17th edition of the fast-growing T20 league.

Most of the teams have a strong core ahead of the IPL 2024 mini-auction, but there are exciting names, both local and overseas, who will feature in the auction on Tuesday. With the mega auction taking place in 2025, it will be interesting to see if teams will be willing to spend big bucks in the mini-auction on Tuesday.

What is the base price of IPL Auction 2024 players?

The highest base price bracket is Rs 2 crore and 23 players have placed themselves in the said category. Only 3 of these are Indians. The second best base price brackets for the next set of players are Rs 1.5 crore and Rs 1 crore, Rs 75 lakh, Rs 50 lakh, Rs 40 lakh and Rs 30 lakh. Rs 20 lakh is the lowest base price range.

Each team has a different size of purse left for the auction, based on the players they have retained and released. Gujarat Titans, who made a historic move with Mumbai Indians by trading out Hardik Pandya, have the biggest purse for the auction. Depending on the retention list, each team has a different number of slots to fill in Tuesday's auction.
