Puneri Paltan suffered an 11-point loss in their opener against Dabang Delhi, but they bounced back with a 1-point win against Telugu Titans last time around. Their defenders took over in the second match scoring 13 tackle points as compared to only 5 in the first. Mohit Goyat, who came in as a substitute, put up 9 raid points, another major factor in their win.

Patna Pirates, meanwhile, registered a 3-point win against Haryana Steelers in their opener on the back of Monu Goyat’s Super 10. They followed it up, however, with a 1-point loss to UP Yoddha. The defense of Pirates notched up 17 tackle points to that of 9 in the first match but their raid points dropped from 28 to 17 in the second.
Puneri Paltan’s Nitin Tomar will be the best pick from the raider’s category. Tomar scored seven raid points in the last match against Dabang Delhi K.C. and was one of the lone bright sparks in their disappointing 30-41 loss. Although Tomar is yet to set the tournament on fire this year, his experience of over 400 raid points in Pro Kabaddi makes him a worthy option for this match.
Patna Pirates’ Neeraj Kumar will be a great pick for this clash. The right corner defender is expected to form a potent combination alongside Mohammadreza Chiyaneh at the far left corner and play a decisive role in pinning down the raider. Neeraj has a not-out percentage of 78 across 41 Pro Kabaddi matches and is a reliable option in defense. At 13 credits, Neeraj Kumar is a great budget pick for this match.
Amongst the all-rounders, Mohammadreza Chiyaneh will be the best option. The Iranian scored seven defensive points in the last game against U.P. Yoddha and pinned star raider Pardeep Narwal down on more than two instances. The Patna Pirates’ defender is amongst the top defenders of the season already and will be a major threat to the Puneri Paltan tonight. With 175 fantasy points to his name already, Mohammadreza Chiyaneh is a must-have pick for 14 credits.
