Shaheen Afridi can become the first Pakistani bowler to do so in WTC: The first match of the two-match Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be played from August 21. The first match of the series is to be held in Rawalpindi and the second Test in Karachi from August 30. In this two-match Test series, Shaheen Afridi will have a chance to make a big record in his name. If he takes 9 wickets in this series against Bangladesh, he will become the first Pakistani bowler to take 100 wickets in the World Test Championship (WTC).
Shaheen Afridi has taken 91 wickets in 24 matches played so far in the World Test Championship with an average of 27.23 and a strike rate of 53.12. He is just 9 steps away from taking 100 wickets. If Shaheen Afridi takes 9 wickets against Bangladesh, he will become the first Pakistani and the 12th bowler in the world to take 100 wickets in the World Test Championship.
Let us tell you that, Australia's Nathan Lyon is at the top of this list with 187 wickets. In the top-11, R Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja have also taken 100 wickets in WTC. Pat Cummins (175 wickets) is at number two in this list, R Ashwin (174 wickets) is at number three and Mitchell Starc (147 wickets) is at number five.
