Meanwhile, during the auction, Manchester acquired explosive wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh with a significant bid of £50,000 (approximately ₹61 lakh).
Smriti and Richa, who play together for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the WPL, will now be seen dismantling opposition bowling attacks while wearing the same jersey in 'The Hundred'.
