Deepak Hooda showed his red hot form very well as he played another brilliant inning of 59 runs in 37 balls. Sanju Samson and Arshdeep Singh also impressed and are likely to be a part of the first T20I against England.
On the other hand, Northamptonshire lost four out of the last five games they played in the blast, with one finished as a washout. They will be without Chris Lynn, Jimmy Neesham, and highest wicket-taker Ben Sanderson for this game. However, they did come close against the Foxes in their last game, falling just one run short of the target of 215. They will take this game as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity as the whole world will be watching them hosting the men in blue.
The match will take place at the County Ground in Northampton. The Vantage Road pitch in Northampton is very good for batting. Batting first, he was seen scoring above 200 on four occasions. The team winning the toss would like to bat first as the team batting first has won four out of seven matches played at this ground this season. A team scoring below 180 can be easily defeated. The openers scored a lot of runs on this ground. The average of the first innings is around 215. There have been two occasions when the team batting first scored around 150 runs and failed to defend the total.
