Nicholas Pooran created a new world record in T20

Nicholas Pooran has broken the world record for most runs in a calendar year in T20 cricket. He surpassed Mohammad Rizwan's 2021 record. Pooran achieved this feat while playing for various teams including Trinbago Knight Riders and West Indies. Pooran has achieved this feat at an average of over 42 in 65 innings.

West Indies wicketkeeper-batsman Nicholas Pooran has broken the world record for most runs in a calendar year in T20 cricket. He has surpassed Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan. Playing for Trinbago Knight Riders against Barbados Royals in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024, Pooran scored 27 runs in 15 balls.
