Women's T20 World Cup 2024: New Zealand has recently announced its squad for the Women's T20 World Cup after the tournament shifted from Bangladesh to the UAE. This will be the 9th edition of the tournament which will be played from October 3 to October 20. The command of the Kiwi team is on the shoulders of experienced Sophie Devine. This will be Sophie's last tournament as T20 captain.
The New Zealand cricket team has been announced for the Women's T20 World Cup to be played from October 3 to October 20. The women's selection committee selected New Zealand's 15-member team on Tuesday. Sophie Devine will lead the team. Let us tell you that the Women's T20 World Cup was earlier to be held in Bangladesh, but in view of the poor condition of the country, the tournament was shifted to another country. Now the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 will be organized in Dubai and Sharjah. A total of 23 matches will be played at both these places. Defending champions Australia will be eyeing to win their fourth consecutive T20 title.
This will be Sophie Devine's last assignment as captain in T20 International cricket. Sophie had already announced that she would be part of the team after the Women's T20 World Cup 2024. Suzie Bates will also be part of the team and this will be her 9th T20 World Cup. Rosemary Mair's return to the New Zealand team will strengthen New Zealand's fast bowling attack. Rosemary Mair did not go on the England tour due to a back injury.

The Indian team will start its campaign by playing a match against New Zealand on October 4.
Australia, India, Pakistan, New Zealand and Sri Lanka are placed in Group A of the tournament. Group B includes South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh and Scotland. Each team will play four group matches in the tournament. The top two teams from each group will enter the semi-finals. The final match will be played in Dubai on October 20.
