How did MS Dhoni meet Sakshi?
The story of how the former Indian captain and his future wife met is unique and no less than a fairy tale. After completing her studies at the Institute of Hotel Management, Aurangabad, she got an internship at Taj Bengal, Kolkata, where the two eventually met in 2007. Who knew, destiny had some plans for these two charming people.
The former Indian captain was in the City of Joy, where he was scheduled to face Pakistan at the Eden Gardens. The sad part in their story is that they both studied in the same school in Ranchi, but never came across each other because she was their junior there. However, the pair came face to face and it did not happen as it is depicted in the Bollywood version of the MS Dhoni biopic.
The two were introduced to each other by Dhoni's manager Yudhajit Dutta, who was also Sakshi's friend. It was Sakshi's last day of interning at the hotel when Yudhajeet called her and asked her to come before introducing her to MS Dhoni and that's how they met.
Later, the Indian cricket boss asked his manager for her number to reach out to Sakshi. Initially he thought it was a silly prank by his friends, but later he realized that he was receiving messages from the former Indian captain. Realizing this, she returned to her texts and the rest, as we all know now, is history. Later, in March 2008, after frequent conversations and dates, the two entered into a romantic relationship.
