MS Dhoni Director Of Cricket: According to media reports, the BCCI is keen to utilize Mahendra Singh Dhoni's experience and technical skills in the right way.

MS Dhoni Retirement From IPL: MS Dhoni can retire after Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. After retirement, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) can assign important responsibility to MS Dhoni. This has been claimed in the report of The Telegraph. The report quoted BCCI sources as saying that the board is considering calling MS Dhoni for a permanent role in Indian cricket.

The BCCI is keen to utilize Mahendra Singh Dhoni's experience and technical skills in the right way. The former skipper may be asked to work with a particular set of players as managing all three formats is proving too much for head coach Rahul Dravid.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) is known for his bold approach and decision making and can totally play the role of former England captain Andrew Strauss. Former England captain Michael Vaughan also feels that the BCCI should shed pride and learn from England how to win ICC tournaments.

Seven years ago, the England cricket team suffered a similar defeat in Adelaide when they lost to Bangladesh and failed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the 50-over World Cup.

The defeat was subsequently reviewed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and a new post of Director of Cricket was formed. Andrew Strauss took over as top boss. The move was seen as an attempt to rejuvenate English cricket.

MS Dhoni worked with Team India during the T20 World Cup in UAE in the year 2021. However, then it was just a matter of a tour. Dhoni was then able to stay with the team for only a week as India's campaign ended in the opening round. However, the BCCI feels that a bigger role for Dhoni will definitely help the Indian T20 set-up.
