At the Paris Olympics 2024, Manu Bhaker created history by becoming the first Indian player to win two medals in a single competition after independence. Manu took home two of the six medals that India won overall. She took up a medal in the women's 10m air pistol solo competition and a mixed team bronze alongside Sarabjot Singh. She was also selected to carry the Indian flag during the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
Manu and his mother met silver medallist javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra before the closing. After those two films became popular, speculations regarding their personal lives began to circulate. Manu has finally spoken up on the footage.

About it, I know very little. This did not occur when I was present. However, since 2018, our meetings have taken place outside of events. Other than that, we don't interact all that much. At events, we converse a bit. However, the speculations that are circulating are untrue, as stated.
Social media went into overdrive when the three started talking, with many people speculating that Neeraj and Manu may soon be married. The father of the pistol shooter, however, has refuted the rumours, claiming that his daughter isn't even old enough for such a significant event in her life.
" Manu is a very young person. She's not even old enough to be married. Manu's father Ram Kishan told Dainik Bhaskar, "I'm not even thinking about it right now. I'm dismissing any rumours or speculation about her plans."
Manu's mother appeared to have a strong bond with Neeraj in the videos that went viral on social media. According to Ram Kishan, Manu's mother views Neeraj as her son, which explains their close relationship.
He emphasised their closeness and love for one another, saying, "Manu's mother considers Neeraj like her son," while simultaneously discounting any romantic potential between the sports star and Manu.
Neeraj's uncle also discussed the discussions around the marriage of the Paris silver medallist. He remarked, "Everyone in the nation learnt about the medal as soon as Neeraj delivered it. In the same vein, everyone will know when he gets married."
