List of Teams to finish bottom at IPL points table most times: The Indian Premier League (IPL) is the world's biggest and most successful T20 league. The competition in this league becomes very tough from the first match itself. Once the teams fall behind, they have very little chance of making a comeback. While some teams have maintained their dominance in the league, some teams have had to face difficulties. No team wants to end the season in last place, but still some teams have had to face such a situation more than once. Let's take a look at those five teams which have been in last place in the points table the most number of times.

Royal Challengers Bangalore, one of the most popular teams in the league, has not been able to win the trophy even once. In the 2017 season, the team won only three out of 14 matches. Due to one match being cancelled, they got only seven points. In 2019, they could only get 11 points due to winning only five out of 14 matches and one being cancelled.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, champions in 2016 and runners-up in 2018 and 2024, have also finished last in the points table twice. In 2021, they lost 11 out of 14 matches and in 2023, they lost 10 out of 14 matches.

The last few seasons have not been good for Mumbai Indians, who have jointly won the league a maximum of five times. This team, which last won the title in 2020, lost 10 out of 14 matches in 2022. Their performance was similar last season as well and they lost 10 matches.

Punjab Kings, which has been a part of the league since the first season, has been able to reach the final only once. This team lost 10 out of 14 in 2010, 11 out of 14 in 2015 and 10 out of 14 in 2016. Only two teams have been in last place for two consecutive seasons and Punjab is one of them.

Delhi, which lost the 2020 final, has been in last place in the points table most of the times. Before the 2020 season, Delhi Capitals had been constantly disappointing, but in the last few seasons, they have improved their performance tremendously.
In 2011, they won four out of 14 matches and one match was cancelled. In 2013, they had to face defeat in 13 out of 16 matches. In 2014, they lost 12 out of 14 matches and were able to win only two. In 2018, they lost nine out of 14 matches.
