The Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur will witness a thrilling encounter on Monday, April 28, as Rajasthan Royals (RR) take on Gujarat Titans (GT) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. The two sides previously met earlier this year, where Gujarat dominated the game with a convincing 58-run win in Ahmedabad.
Thanks to their potent hitting lineup, the Titans scored an incredible 217/6 when they batted first. Their bowlers then dismantled the Royals’ batting line-up, restricting them to 159 all out. One of Rajasthan Royals’ seasoned campaigners, Sandeep Sharma, brings plenty of experience into their bowling attack. Although he has taken just eight wickets in nine games so far, with an economy rate of 10.09 and an average of 41, he remains a potent weapon with the new ball and at the death.
In their previous game against RCB, Sandeep picked up two key wickets, dismissing Devdutt Padikkal and Rajat Patidar. Against a formidable GT batting order featuring stars like Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill, Sandeep's expertise could be crucial for RR in trying to contain the runs and pick up early wickets.
R Sai Kishore has subtly become one of the Gujarat Titans' most reliable performers this season. The left-arm spinner has picked up 12 wickets in eight matches, maintaining an impressive average of 16.33 and an economy rate of 8.22.
In their recent clash against KKR, Kishore bowled economically, conceding just 19 runs in three overs and picking up the important wicket of Venkatesh Iyer. With RR boasting strong Indian batters who play spin well, Sai Kishore’s ability to build pressure and create breakthroughs will be vital for Gujarat today.
In the 2025 Indian Premier League, Prasidh Krishna has been outstanding with the ball for the Gujarat Titans. The pacer is currently the team’s leading wicket-taker, claiming 16 wickets in eight matches at an outstanding average of 14.12 and an economy rate of 7.29.
In the previous match against KKR, Prasidh delivered a fantastic spell, taking two wickets — Ramandeep Singh and Moeen Ali — while conceding just 25 runs in his four overs. His sharp pace and ability to strike at crucial moments have been pivotal to Gujarat’s successful campaign so far. Expect him to once again spearhead GT’s bowling attack against Rajasthan.
