In the 42nd match of IPL 2024, Punjab Kings created history and chased the highest score in the history of T20 cricket and the league. Kolkata Knight Riders had set a target of 262 runs, which Punjab achieved with eight balls remaining after losing two wickets. It is raining runs in IPL 2024. This season, scores of 200 or more were scored 41 times, which is more than all the previous seasons. In IPL, Sunrisers Hyderabad made the record of scoring the most runs after the first 10 overs against Lucknow Super Giants. SRH had scored 167 runs against Lucknow in 9.4 overs without losing any wicket. Hyderabad has also scored the second highest number of runs in the first 10 overs.
