The Mumbai Indians are a franchise cricket team based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, that competes in the Indian Premier League. It is the most successful IPL team with five title wins. Founded in 2008, the team is owned by Indias biggest conglomerate, Reliance Industries, through its 100% subsidiary India Win Sports.

It is safe to say that Mumbai Indians have been the most successful team in the history of the league. The defending champions go into IPL 2021 with the favourites tag once again. MI fans would be very happy to see their team win the IPL trophy for the third time in a row.

MI have all their bases covered this time as well. They haven’t really made too many changes to their team which won the IPL last season. Their batting looks deadly with the likes of their skipper Rohit Sharma and wicket keeper QDK at the top of the order, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav in the Middle order and the Pandya brothers and Kireon Pollard to finish things up.

It would be safe to say that MI have one of the best pace attacks going into IPL 2021. Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult are gems and to accompany them, Mumbai have Nathan Coulter-Nile, who was brought back by MI in the IPL 2021 auction.

2) Chennai Super Kings

The Chennai Super Kings are a franchise cricket team based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, which plays in the Indian Premier League. Founded in 2008, the team plays its home matches at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

They have been one of the most consistent sides in the history of the league. Despite not having a good IPL 2020, CSK look all set to be at their best this time around.

CSK have many impactful all-rounders in their team which stands as their strength. Dwayne Bravo, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur and Sam Curran are among the superb all-rounders that CSK has. The franchise also bought two more all-rounders during IPL auctions- Krishnappa Gowtham and Moeen Ali.

With their players in place, CSK is expected to qualify for the playoffs this time around. There have been a lot of rumours circulating about IPL 2021 being MS Dhoni’s last one. If that’s the case then Chennai’s “Thala” would want to ensure that he finishes his IPL career in style.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won the Indian Premier League in 2010, 2011 and in 2018. For the first six-seven years of the competition, they were considered the best team in IPL before Mumbai Indians took that spot.

DC’s coach Ricky Ponting has done a superb job in managing a team consisting of talented youngsters as well a few experienced stalwarts.

DC have one of the best top orders going into IPL 2021. They have experienced players such as Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer and now Steve Smith! They have a lot of finishers as well. Pant and Stoinis are expected to bat at 5 and 6 for DC.

Just like MI, DC have a superb pace attack comprising of pacers like Rabada, Nortje, Woakes, Ishant and Umesh. DC have a super spin attack as well, their spin consists of some experienced IPL spinners like Ashwin, Axar and Mishra. It won’t be surprising if DC manage to win their maiden title this year.

there is one team which has managed to silently win matches without making a big deal about it, it has to be the orange army.

It would be surprising if SRH don’t make it to the playoffs this season.Due to the team’s good performance during the last few years, the owners retained most of the players in the team for IPL 2021. SRH have hard hitters like David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, and Manish Pandey. Kane Williamson provides stability for them at 3.

As far as their bowling is concerned, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natrajan, and Rashid Khan account for a powerful bowling attack. Unlike other teams, SRH love defending totals and choking their opposition. Thus SRH fans would prey and hope to see the IPL trophy come to Hyderabad.
