India's Shreyanka Patil ruled out of Women's Asia Cup due to finger fracture: The Indian women's team has suffered a major setback before the match against UAE in the Asia Cup 2024. The team's star all-rounder Shreyanka Patil has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury. Shreyanka suffered a finger injury during India's first match against Pakistan at the Dambulla Stadium on Friday. Defending champions India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan by seven wickets on Saturday.
In fact, during Pakistan's innings, all-rounder Shreyanka Patil suffered an injury to the finger of her left hand while catching a catch. Patil bowled in the match even after the injury. She took two wickets for 14 runs in 3.2 overs against Pakistan. Earlier in the Women's Premier League too, Shreyanka had suffered an injury at the same place, due to which she was out of many matches.
In the WPL, Shreyanka made a strong comeback by taking a four-wicket haul against Delhi Capitals. Along with this, she also received the Purple Cap as well as the Best Emerging Player of the Season award.
