The top five teams along with the Indian team got the top seeding due to the ICC T20 International ranking and got direct entry into the quarter-finals. The Indian team will start its campaign in the Asian Games 2023 on October 3.

India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are the top-5 ranked teams in the ICC T20 International rankings. Therefore they have been given top priority. These teams will get a direct place in the quarter finals. The Indian team is considered a strong contender to win the gold medal.
