The star of the victory was spinner Manav Suthar, who claimed a total of 10 wickets for 131 runs across the match (taking 4 wickets in the first innings and 6 in the second).
With this performance, Manav Suthar has become the youngest Indian cricketer to claim a 10-wicket haul in an away Test match. Additionally, he has become the third Indian (after Harbhajan Singh and R. Ashwin) to claim a 10-wicket haul on Sri Lankan soil and the ninth left-arm spinner from India to achieve this feat.
