India won the second match of the two-Test series against Bangladesh by three wickets. They chased down the target of 145 for the loss of seven wickets on the fourth day of the match on Sunday (December 25) to whitewash the hosts 2-0 in the series. India won the first Test in Chittagong by 188 runs. Cheteshwar Pujara was adjudged Player of the Series and Ravichandran Ashwin was adjudged Player of the Match. In this match, Bangladesh scored 227 runs in the first innings. In response, India scored 314 runs. Bangladesh team managed to score 231 runs in the second innings and have set a target of 145 runs in front of India. In response, India had scored 45 runs for four wickets by the end of the third days play. Team India lost three more on the fourth day. He won the match by scoring 145 runs for seven wickets.
The Indian team has won the 18th consecutive series in Asia by defeating Bangladesh. He got the last defeat at his own home ground against England in 2012-23. After him Rishabh Pant also returned to the pavilion. Pant, who scored a brilliant 93 in the first innings, could score only nine runs in the second innings. He was made LBW by Mehdi Hasan Miraj. Mehdi did not stop there. He achieved fifth success in the innings by clean bowling Akshar Patel. Akshar played an important inning of 34 off 69 balls.
When Team Indias seven wickets fell for 74 runs, it seemed that Bangladesh could do a miracle. The Indian team was under pressure. From here Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin handled the innings.
