BCCI has announced Team India for the World Cup 2023. Experienced players have been given place in the team captained by Rohit Sharma. Ravichandran Ashwin did not get a place in the team
ODI World Cup 2023 India Squad Announced, India has announced a 15-member squad for the World Cup 2023. Experienced players have been given priority in Team India captained by Rohit Sharma. Hardik Pandya will be the vice-captain of Team India. KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer are also part of the team. Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill and Suryakumar have also been given place. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has got a chance. Shardul Thakur has also been successful in making a place.
The selection committee of BCCI has selected a balanced team for the World Cup. Shubman Gill can open with Rohit. Ishaan Kishan is also on the team. Ishaan is capable of batting in the opening as well as the middle order. Confidence has been expressed in Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul. Rahul has not played a single match in Asia Cup 2023 yet. However, despite this he has been included in the World Cup team. Suryakumar Yadav is also a part of the team.
All-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Akshar Patel have got a place in the team. Jadeja has performed strongly on many occasions. If we talk about India's bowling attack, Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, and Kuldeep Yadav are part of the team. Kuldeep can prove to be an X factor with spin bowling. Talking about Bumrah, he has made a great comeback after recovering from injury. Bumrah did not take the field in the Asia Cup 2023 match against Nepal. But he can play in the next match. Earlier, he had led the team against Ireland.
