India squad for Hong Kong Sixes 2024 announced: The Indian team has been announced for the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes tournament to be held in China. The captaincy of the Indian team has been given to World Cup winning player Robin Uthappa. This tournament will be held from 1 to 3 November.

Let us tell you that the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes, which is returning for the first time since 2017, will see 12 countries competing in a fast-paced, concise format of cricket. Each team will play six-a-side matches, showcasing an exciting brand of cricket with shorter innings and more aggressive gameplay. India have announced their squad for the tournament, and expectations are quite high from the team full of experienced players.
India and Pakistan are placed in Pool C, and the much-awaited encounter between the two rivals is scheduled for November 01, 2024. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) completes this group. In Pool A, South Africa, New Zealand and hosts Hong Kong will battle it out for a place in the knockout stages. While Pool B consists of Australia, England and Nepal. Pool D consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Oman. The tournament will follow a structured format with 12 group-stage matches, followed by six bowl matches and the quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, the semi-finals of both the Plate and Main Draw will be held on November 03, followed by the Bowl Final, Plate Final and Cup Final on the same day. With experienced players like Uthappa, Jadhav, Tiwary and Binny, Team India will aim to put up a strong performance in this high-octane tournament and win the coveted title.
12 teams have been included for this tournament to be held in November. These include teams from India, Australia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, England, Hong Kong, Nepal, New Zealand, Oman, South Africa, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates. This tournament started in 1992 and was not organized after the 2017 edition.
