In this match, Tilak played a blistering unbeaten knock of 44 runs off just 18 balls, completing 5,000 runs in T20 cricket. With this feat, he became the first player in T20 history to reach this milestone maintaining an average of over 40 and a strike rate exceeding 140.

Tilak Varma achieved the distinction of being the fifth-fastest Indian player to reach this milestone by doing so in his 166th innings one innings sooner than Virat Kohli (167 innings) while KL Rahul tops the list.
