The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the best ODI, Test and T20I team of the year 2023. ICC has handed over the command of the ODI team to Rohit Sharma. Pat Cummins will captain the Test team and India's T20I star batsman Suryakumar Yadav has been chosen as the captain of the team.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced its ODI, Test and T20i Team of the Year for 2023. Under this, the Australian team which won the ODI World Cup has been badly embarrassed. Only 2 of its players have got a place in the ODI team.
Whereas ICC has made Rohit Sharma the captain of the ODI team. A total of 6 Indian players have got a place in this ODI team. Apart from captain Rohit, the ODI team also includes Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Mohammad Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammad Shami.
On the other hand, Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins has been given the captaincy in the ICC Test team. Whereas Australian players dominated the Test team. Apart from Cummins, Usman Khawaja, Travis Head, Alex Carey and Mitchell Starc have got place in this team. Among the Indian players, only spin all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin have got a place.

Apart from captain Rohit, Shubman Gill has been included in this team as an opener. Apart from these, the responsibility of middle order has been given to Virat Kohli. At the same time, three bowlers of Team India are in the playing-11. These include two fast bowlers and one spinner. Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami are in this team, while Kuldeep Yadav has also been included. Australia's Travis Head and Adam Zampa are also in the playing-11. South Africa's Heinrich Klaasen will be the wicketkeeper in the team and apart from this, Marco Jansen has also been included. New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell is also included in the playing-11.

The responsibility of opening has been given to Usman Khawaja and Dimuth Karunaratne. Whereas, Kane Williamson has been placed at number three and Joe Root has been placed at number four. The team has three all-rounders in Travis, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin. At the same time, there are three fast bowlers in the form of Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Stuart Broad. Alex Carey will be the wicketkeeper-batsman in the team. There is no player from Pakistan, Bangladesh, West Indies and South Africa in this team. Only Jadeja and Ashwin have got a place from India.

Big players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah did not get a place in this team, but ICC has included other Indian stars like Ravi Bishnoi, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Arshdeep Singh in the 11-member team.
The Indian pair of Suryakumar and Yashasvi were the first choice at the top of the batting order, while England's Phil Salt came in at number three. Jaiswal made his debut for India against West Indies in August last year and scored 430 runs in 14 innings at a strike rate of 159 in 2023. Salt, on the other hand, scored 331 runs in the five-match T20 series. He was 170 runs ahead of the second highest run scorer in that series.
