The ICC has increased the prize money for the 2024 T20 World Cup edition compared to the previous World Cup. The ICC has increased the prize money for the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup to $7,958,080, which is more than double the 2023 edition. This significant increase has ensured that the winner of the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 will get a huge amount of $2.34 million (about Rs 20 crore), which is 134% more than the amount of $1 million (about 8 crores) given to champion Australia in 2023.

The runner-up team of Women's T20 World Cup 2024 will also get a lot of money. The prize money of the runner-up team has also increased by 134% compared to the previous World Cup, which will give them an amount of $1.17 million in the upcoming edition. Each semi-finalist will receive $675,000 (Rs 2.10 lakh), three times their 2023 payout.

10 teams are participating in T20 Women's World Cup: This time 10 teams are participating in the Women's T20 World Cup 2024, which have been divided into two groups of 5 each. In this, Group-A includes women's teams of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand. At the same time, Group-B includes women's teams of Bangladesh, South Africa, England, Scotland and West Indies.

The last match of the group stage will be played on October 15, while the top-2 teams from both the groups will directly confirm their place for the semi-finals. The semi-finals will be held on October 17 and 18 at the Sharjah ground, while the final match of the tournament will be played on October 20.
