ICC announces Mens T20I Team of Year for 2024

The ICC has announced the Men's T20 Team of the Year. The ICC has given the captaincy to Rohit Sharma for the team of the year 2024. Along with him, a total of four Indian players have got a place in this team. But Virat Kohli was not included. Pakistani player Babar Azam is also a part of this team. Zimbabwean player Sikandar Raza has also been given a chance.

The ICC took a surprising decision by excluding Kohli from the team of the year. However, Rohit is a part of this team and has also been made the captain. Team India won the T20 World Cup 2024 title under Rohit's captaincy. The year 2024 was great for Rohit. Rohit scored three half-centuries in the T20 World Cup. He played a brilliant innings of 92 runs in the Super 8 match against Australia.

The ICC has named the aggressive West Indies batsman as the wicketkeeper of its T20 team of 2024, while Babar Azam and Sikandar Raza are the only players to make it to the squad from their countries Pakistan and Zimbabwe. Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga and Afghanistan's Rashid Khan made it to the T20 team of 2024.

The ICC has also given a chance to Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya. The year 2024 was also good for Pandya. He played a total of 17 T20 matches. During this, he scored 352 runs. Along with this, he also took 16 wickets. The ICC also included Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh in the team. Bumrah took 15 wickets in 8 matches. During this, taking 3 wickets for 7 runs was his best performance in a match. At the same time, Arshdeep took 36 wickets in 18 matches.
