Like Indian Premier League (IPL), Big Bash League (BBL) and Caribbean Premier League (CPL), another big league is ready to come in the cricket world. It is coming to South Africa in which many big cricket stars of the world will be involved, much like IPL. It will start on 10 January.
SA T20, South Africa is a top country that is yet to have a proper T20 league. However, the board now has a tournament in hand, with the first edition starting from January 10 this month. All six teams in the competition are owned by the owners of the IPL franchises. Thats why fans in India are also excited about this match. The auction was held a few months back and recently the franchises were also selected through wild cards. The first match of the tournament will be played between MI Cape Town and Paarl Royals in Cape Town. This will be a watershed moment in South African crickets history.
Four of the six teams in the Cricket South Africa T20 League have been bought by the owners of the IPL franchises. MI Cape Town was bought by the owners of Mumbai Indians, Johannesburg Super Kings by the owners of Chennai Super Kings, Paarl Royals by the owners of Rajasthan Royals, and Pretoria Capitals by the owners of Delhi Capitals.

Many big players from around the world including Quinton Dickock, Faf du Plessis, Kagiso Rabada, David Miller, Rashid Khan, Eoin Morgan, and Jos Buttler will participate in the Cricket South Africa T20 League. In this tournament, the matches will start from the round-robin stage in which a total of six teams will participate and each team will face the other team twice. After the round-robin stage, on the basis of points, four teams will appear for the semi-finals, out of which two winning teams will be selected for the final.
When and where to watch SA T20 League, Viacom18 has bought the official broadcast rights in India for the South Africa T20 League, starting in January 2023, for the next 10 years. Under these broadcast rights, all the matches of this cricket league will be shown on different sports channels of Viacom18. Speaking on the occasion, Anil Jayaraj, CEO, of Viacom18 Sports said, “T20 is the most popular format among Indian fans and South African cricket and their cricketers are well-liked here. We expect viewers and fans to connect with this league. Let us tell you that Viacom 18 also has digital rights for the next five years of IPL.

Sports18 and Viacom18 Sport hold the rights to broadcast the tournament in India. Hence, Sports18 will be the TV channel that will bring the action to TV. IPL 2023 can also come on this TV channel.
