India vs South Africa 1st ODI Highlights: Sanju Samson hit an unbeaten 86, but India lost to South Africa in the first One-Day International at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. India lost two early wickets while chasing a target of 250, as Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill were both dismissed inside the first powerplay. Ishan Kishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad were also unimpressive. Earlier, unbeaten fifties from David Miller (75) and Heinrich Klaasen (74) helped South Africa reach 249 for 4 in 40 overs. Due to rain, the match has been reduced to 40 overs per side. India skipper Shikhar Dhawan had won the toss and opted to bowl first.
20 runs come off the final over bowled by Tabraiz Shamsi as India reach 240/8 in response to South Africas 249/4. Samson returns unbeaten on 86 off 63 balls. His knock features nine fours and three sixes.
