Former Australian spinner Stuart MacGill found guilty in drug case: Former Australia cricket team spinner Stuart MacGill has been found guilty of being involved in a cocaine deal. The relief is that he has been given a clean chit for being involved in large-scale drug supply. According to Australian media reports, he stood in court with a sad face during this verdict. There was not much expression on his face. Now he will be sentenced after 8 weeks.
In fact, the jury of Sydney District Court found 54-year-old former Australian leg-spinner Stuart Macgill innocent of being involved in a deal of one kg of cocaine worth 330000 Australian dollars in April 2021. However, he has been found guilty of being involved in drug supply. It has been told in the court that MacGill introduced his regular drug dealer to his close relative Marino Sotiropoulos at his restaurant in Sydney.

On this, MacGill said that he was not aware of the cocaine deal. Then the public prosecutor said that the deal would not have been possible without his involvement. Earlier, Stuart McGill came into the news a year ago in a strange kidnapping case. Then he claimed that he was kidnapped. The two brothers who kidnapped McGill claimed that the former cricketer had come with them of his own free will. In this case, the matter of drug smuggling came up.

McGill was born in 1971 and played ODI and Test cricket for Australia. In his cricket career, he played 44 Test matches and 3 ODI matches. In Tests, he took 208 wickets in 85 innings, while in batting he scored 349 runs. Playing 3 ODI matches, he took 6 wickets.
