England squad announced for ODI and T20 series against Sri Lanka: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has officially announced its squad for the upcoming three-match T20 and three-match One Day International (ODI) series against Sri Lanka. The English team is riding high on confidence after winning the T20 series 4-0 and the ODI series 2-1 against India on home soil. - Aneurin Donald gets his first T20 call-up: Aneurin Donald, who has been in explosive batting form for Derbyshire in the T20 Blast, has been included in the 16-member T20 squad. He amassed 489 runs (including four half-centuries) at a blistering strike rate of 230. Donald, who made his T20 debut in 2015, has 2,423 runs and 18 half-centuries to his name in this format.
- Henry Crocombe's ODI call-up: 24-year-old fast bowler Henry Crocombe has earned a spot in England's ODI squad for the first time. Crocombe has long been on the selectors' radar. Crocombe, who has taken 49 wickets in 36 List-A matches, was also part of the squad as a backup during the Test series against New Zealand.
- Jamie Overton's Return: All-rounder Jamie Overton, who missed the series against India due to injury, has returned to the squads for both formats.
