Veteran commentator Harsha Bhogle recently chose his best team for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. He gave the names of 11 players including four foreigners. Of their four foreign players, three were from West Indies.

He chose Virat Kohli and Sunil Narine as opening batsmen. After them, Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag of Rajasthan Royals were placed at number three and four. He selected Nicholas Pooran, Andre Russell and Dinesh Karthik as middle order batsmen. After this, he included Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, and T Natarajan in the best playing 11 as specialist fast bowlers. Varun Chakravarthy was selected as the only spinner in the team.
Let us tell you that Kohli was the highest run scorer in the tournament and he won the Orange Cap for the second time in his career. He scored 741 runs in 15 matches at an average of 61.75. Sunil Narine impressed with both bat and ball. He scored 488 runs with the bat and took 17 wickets and won the Most Valuable Player award for the third time in IPL. Sunil Narine played a key role in KKR winning their third IPL title by performing brilliantly with bat and ball.

Samson and Parag scored 573 and 531 runs respectively, helping Rajasthan Royals reach Qualifier 2. Meanwhile, Nicholas Pooran had his best IPL season so far, scoring 499 runs at an impressive strike rate of 178.21.
KKR veteran Russell could not do anything special with the bat this season but he did wonders with the ball and took 19 wickets in 14 matches at an average of 15.53. Whereas RCB's Karthik's IPL 2023 campaign was disappointing. The wicketkeeper-batsman scored 326 runs at a strike rate of 187.36 in IPL 2024.

Jasprit Bumrah was one of the best bowlers this season after taking 20 wickets in 13 matches at an average of 16.80 in IPL 2024. In IPL 2024, only Varun Chakravarthy (21) and Harshal Patel (24) took more wickets than Bumrah. This season was not that good for Bolt, but still Bhogle gave him a place in his team. The New Zealand fast bowler took 16 wickets at an average of 27.68. Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad's T Natarajan had a stellar season, taking 19 wickets in 14 matches at an average of 24.47.
