T20 World Cup 2022, Australia vs New Zealand Highlights: Devon Conway hit 92 not out off 58 balls as New Zealand defeated Australia by 89 runs in the first Super-12 game on Saturday. The Blackcaps scored 201 for 3 in 20 overs before bowling Australia out for 111 runs in 17.1 overs at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Tim Southee took three wickets for six runs, while Mitchell Santner had three for 31. It is worth noting that this is Australias largest ever T20 World Cup defeat in terms of runs.
New Zealand defeated Australia by 89 runs, their first win on Australian soil in any format since 2011. Tim Southee (3/6)s figures were the catalyst for Australias demise. With his spell, Mitchell Santner (3/31) dominated the middle phase. Trent Boult (2/24) handled the tail. Earlier, Devon Conway (92*) and Finn Allen (42) helped New Zealand post 200/3 after Australia batted first. Allen and Conways opening partnership scored 56 runs in just 25 balls. Finn hit a 16-ball 42. Conway then added a crucial 69-run partnership with captain Kane Williamson for the second wicket (23).

Australia (Playing XI): Aaron Finch (c), David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Tim David, Matthew Wade (w), Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood
New Zealand have beaten Australia in Australia for the first time since 2011. Giant defeat up front for the hosts and defending champions. That is certainly not how they hoped their opening game would go. Cummins takes a swipe off Southee and the ball soars high into the night sky. Conway, the man who anchored the Kiwi innings, claimed it and made no mistake in pouching it.
