Asia Cup 2023, The hosting of Asia Cup 2023 has been given to the Pakistan Cricket Board. But the BCCI refused to tour Pakistan. Since then discussions regarding the organization of Asia Cup are going on continuously. Pakistan had even said that if India does not come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, then it can withdraw its name from the upcoming World Cup 2023.

The Pakistan Cricket Board had proposed a hybrid model for the Asia Cup 2023. Which was rejected by some other countries including India. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka and UAE may organize the Asia Cup, its news also came to the fore. But at this time big news related to Asia Cup is coming out. Actually ACC (Asian Cricket Council) has approved the proposal of hybrid model of Pakistan.

ACC approves PAK hybrid model, According to the report, Pakistan wanted UAE to jointly organize the Asia Cup. But Bangladesh refused to play there due to weather conditions in UAE. After which Pakistan and Sri Lanka are going to jointly organize the Asia Cup.

Pakistan Cricket Board President Najam Sethi had handed over all the details related to the hybrid model to Oman Cricket Head Pankaj Khimji and ACC Vice President in Dubai a few weeks back. Najam Sethi also talked to other members of the Asian Cricket Council about the hybrid model. After which ACC has approved the proposal of hybrid model. An official announcement will be made soon by the ACC regarding the conduct of the Asia Cup.

India's Asia Cup matches to be held in Sri Lanka

A total of 13 matches will be played in Asia Cup 2023. According to the report, the tournament can be held from 1 to 17 September. The matches between India and Pakistan will be played in Sri Lanka, if India reaches the final then only the final will be held in Sri Lanka.

Whereas all the matches to be held in Pakistan will be played in Lahore. In the Asia Cup 2023, India, Pakistan and Nepal are in one group and Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh are in one group. Asia Cup will be played in 50 over format this year. Due to which the teams will also get a chance to prepare for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023.
