Afghanistan has included a host of slow-bowling options on naming their squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.
Since the arrival of Taliban rule in Afghanistan, all eyes were on the countrys cricket board. In such a situation, the Afghanistan Cricket Board finally announced its squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup on Thursday. Star leg-spinner Rashid Khan was given the command of the team while Mohammad Shahzad returned.
However, a few minutes after the announcement of the team, Rashid Khan announced to leave the captaincy. Rashid accused the board of posting on Twitter. He said that despite being the captain, he was not included in the discussion of team selection and the team was announced without talking to him.

Rashid wrote in his post, As the captain and a responsible citizen, I have this right to be involved in the team selection. But the selection committee and ACB have declared the team without any discussion with me. So I have decided to step down from the captaincy of the team.
Let us inform you that in the T20 World Cup starting in UAE and Oman from next month, Afghanistan has been placed in Group B along with India, Pakistan, and New Zealand.
