Before the T20 World Cup 2024, Bangladesh team has announced the name of the new spin bowling coach. Bangladesh has handed over this responsibility to former Pakistan leg spinner and World Cup winner Mushtaq Ahmed. Mushtaq Ahmed will work with the Bangladesh team till the end of T20 World Cup 2024. Mushtaq Ahmed has replaced Rangana Herath in the Bangladesh team. Who left his post after the opening test against New Zealand last year.

After becoming the spin bowling coach of Bangladesh team, Mushtaq Ahmed said that it is a great honor for me to be a part of Bangladesh cricket team as spin bowling coach. I am looking forward to this role and want to pass on my experience to the players. I always believe that they are one of the most dangerous teams. Let us tell you that Mushtaq Ahmed will join the Bangladesh team before the preparation camp for the T20 series against Zimbabwe at the end of this month.

Mushtaq Ahmed career
Mushtaq Ahmed took 185 Test wickets and 161 ODI wickets for Pakistan team. Apart from this, he has worked as a spin bowling coach with the teams of England, West Indies and Pakistan. He was also the bowling consultant of Pakistan team between 2014-16.
