Bihar Forest Range Officer Recruitment 2026: There is good news for young aspirants preparing for government jobs. The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Forest Range Officers.

The online application process for this recruitment will begin on July 16, 2026, while the deadline for submitting applications has been set for August 16, 2026. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply by visiting the Commission's official website within the stipulated timeframe.

Candidates selected through this recruitment process will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400, in accordance with the Level-6 pay scale. Additionally, they will be entitled to other allowances and benefits applicable to government service.

Age Limit:

The age of candidates will be calculated as of August 1, 2025. The minimum age for application is set at 21 years. The maximum age limit is 37 years for male candidates and 40 years for female candidates in the general category. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted age relaxation in accordance with Bihar government rules.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates applying for the post of Forest Range Officer must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized university in Botany, Zoology, Veterinary Science, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Agriculture, Forestry, or other related subjects specified in the notification. Selection Process:

Candidates will initially be selected through a written examination. The exam will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) totaling 300 marks. The questions will cover subjects such as General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Science, Indian History, Indian Geography, Mathematics, and Mental Ability. There will be a negative marking of 0.3 marks for every incorrect answer. Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for an interview and a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Final selection will be based on performance across all stages.

Subsequently, they need to fill in their personal and educational details in the application form, upload the required documents, photographs, and signatures, and submit the application after paying the prescribed fee.
