The Macan EV is based on the all-new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture with 800-volt architecture. This platform has been developed with Audi for the Q6 e-tron. It shares key parts of the chassis, battery and power electronics with the PPE architecture with Porsche. The upcoming electric Cayenne will also be based on the PPE platform.

Apart from this, a head-up display with virtual navigation arrows is also provided on the dashboard. The long wheelbase provides good leg room in both rows.
Electric Macan comes with 4 wheel drive option. Dual permanent synchronous motor with single-speed gearbox has been installed on both its axles, which generates power of 408hp and torque of 650Nm in Macan 4 variant. This variant of the car can accelerate from 0-100kmph in just 5.2 seconds. Whereas, Macan Turbo variant has power of 639hp and torque of 1130Nm. The battery pack has been given 270kWh DC fast charging support. With this, the car can be charged from 10 to 80% in 21 minutes.
Apart from this, regenerative braking system is also provided in the car. This allows up to 240kW of electric energy to be recovered during braking and slowing down. While the official WLTP range is 613 km for the Macan 4 and 591 km for the Macan Turbo.
For comfort, the Macan is equipped with 4 steel-string suspension, while the Macan Turbo comes with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) electronic damping control. Optional rear steering is provided in both variants of Porsche Macan.
This technology, introduced for the first time in the Macan, can be used with a maximum steering angle of up to 5-degrees. This gives the new SUV a turning circle of just 11.1 meters for a U-turn and enables driving stability at high speeds.
