Car maker Kia has revealed its second generation K4 in the global market. This sedan is based on the company's new 'Opposites United' design. Although the technical specifications of the car have not been disclosed. The company is preparing to showcase it at the New York Auto Show on March 27.
Sales of the car may start in America by the end of this year, where it will compete with Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and Hyundai Elantra. Information about whether this premium sedan will be launched in the Indian market has not been given. Currently, Kia is preparing to launch a new sub-4 meter SUV Clavis here. This SUV will be launched between Sonet and Seltos in the company's portfolio.
The design of the premium sedan K4 shared by the company is like Kia's new models Carnival and EV9. Tiger nose grill is given in the front of the car. Sharp L-shaped vertical LED headlamps are found on both its sides.
A long bonnet can be seen along with a sloping roof line at the sides. To give it a coupe-like look, Kia has hidden the rear door handle in the C-pillar. It has smart looking diamond-cut alloy wheels and muscular haunches over the rear wheels. The rear has L-shaped tail lamps and a large glass area. Kia says the K4 will be offered in Medium Grey, Slate Green, Canyon Brown and OnyxBlack color schemes.
The cabin of the sedan gets a fresh slate green theme, with options like Canyon Brown, Onyx Black and Medium Grey. The cabin features a dual-screen display in the middle of the dashboard, with physical buttons placed below it along with a rotary dial.
The Kia emblem on the two-spoke steering wheel completes the modern interior design. The special thing is that the driver side door and passenger side door have different color combinations. The company may announce more details about features and specifications closer to the launch date.
