Glasgow City Football Club is a professional women's football team based in Glasgow. The team competes in SWPL 1—the top division of Scottish women's football and the higher of the two tiers within the Scottish Women's Premier League. The club has also participated in the UEFA Women's Cup and the UEFA Women's Champions League. They also maintain reserve and youth teams. Since 2000, Glasgow City has won the highest number of Premier League titles and Scottish Cups in Scotland.

In 2016, Glasgow City won the Scottish Women's Premier League title for the tenth consecutive time. However, their four-year dominance over domestic trophies came to an end when Hibernian L.F.C. won both the SWPL Cup and the Scottish Cup.

The club recently secured the title in dramatic fashion at the end of the 2022–23 season. On the final day of the season, Glasgow City, Rangers, and Celtic all had a chance to win the title. At Ibrox Stadium, an injury-time goal by City's Lauren Davidson clinched the team's 16th SWPL title, making Leanne Ross the first female head coach to win the championship.
