Club de Deportes La Serena S.A.D.P. is a Chilean football club based in the city of La Serena, in the Coquimbo region. The club was founded on December 9, 1955, and currently plays in the 'Liga de Primera'. Their home matches are played at the 'La Portada' stadium, which has a seating capacity of 18,254. Their biggest rival is 'Coquimbo Unido'. They are nicknamed "Gigante de La Cuarta" (Giant of the Fourth Region) because they won the 'Copa Preparación' in 1960 and are the only club in the region to hold this trophy.
